A Storm Over the Tower

DT Storm

If you’ve seen the movie “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” you know about Devils Tower. I’m lucky enough to live near there, and every June we head to the top of a mountain called Warren Peak for our annual ham radio emergency communications and preparedness exercise called Field Day. This photo was taken just as a whopper of a storm was rolling in, just before the 80 mph winds hit us on our location at 6,900 elevation – looking down on Devils Tower.

Hello and thank you for visiting my blog! I am a mixed bag all jumbled up with glitter writing a book, playing on ham radio (I'm WY7YL), being a Parrothead, making jewelry, running, reading, or running around with my camera taking pics of nature and my cats. This blog is a smattering of all of it!
